Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Scavolini Pesaro (17-10) beat on the road 8th ranked Cimberio Varese (14-13) 67-63 on Sunday. Cimberio Varese was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 16-11 charge of Scavolini Pesaro, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Ricky Hickman (189-85, college: NC-Greensboro) stepped up and scored 16 points and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Jumaine Jones (203-79, college: Georgia) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Phil Goss (186-83, college: Drexel) responded with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and French forward Yakhouba Diawara (201-82, college: Pepperdine) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Cimberio Varese's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Scavolini Pesaro moved-up to third place, which they share with Armani Mit and Banco di Sard. Cimberio Varese at the other side keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost.
