BC Donetsk proved their highest ambitions cruising past Dnipro in the first game. The game was mostly controlled by BC Donetsk. Dnipro managed to win fourth quarter 18-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Donetsk dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Dnipro's 28 and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Dnipro 34-15 including a 23-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for BC Donetsk especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. 24 personal fouls committed by Dnipro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Darnell Jackson (203-85, college: Kansas) fired 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Serbian forward Ivan Radenovic (208-84, college: Arizona) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five BC Donetsk players scored in double figures. International guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) produced 8 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (205-89) added 7 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
