Leader Montepaschi Siena recorded the twentieth first victory. This time they crushed 10th ranked Air Avellino (13-16) 109-79. The game without a history. Montepaschi Siena led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Air Avellino's 38. They outrebounded Air Avellino 37-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international Pietro Aradori (194-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Marco Carraretto (197-77, agency: Players Group) contributed with 23 points and 4 steals (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Montepaschi Siena players scored in double figures. Montepaschi Siena's coach Simone Pianigiani felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-FYR Macedonian point guard Marques Green (167-82, college: St.Bonaventure) replied with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American power forward Linton Johnson (203-80, college: Tulane, agency: Priority Sports) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Air Avellino. Montepaschi Siena have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-7 record. Air Avellino lost fourth consecutive game.
