The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked River Andorra (18-5) in Barcelona on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Barca Regal II (13-10) 93-88. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of River Andorra. The hosts trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 32-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely River Andorra outrebounded Barca Regal II 34-22 including 22 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Swedish swingman Marcus Eriksson (196-93) stepped up and scored 31 points for the winners and power forward Ivan Garcia (207-86) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side naturalized Russian center Dmitry Flis (203-84) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Devin Wright (203-86) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Five Barca Regal II and four River Andorra players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Barca Regal II maintains fifth place with 13-10 record, which they share with Coruna. River Andorra at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. Barca Regal II is looking forward to face Feve Oviedo (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. River Andorra will play against Tenerife (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
