Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Minsk-2006 (#1) and Minsk-2006 II (#4). Minsk-2006 (28-1) crushed visiting Minsk-2006 II (10-19) by 43 points 96-53. The game without a history. Minsk-2006 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Minsk-2006 II to just 6 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Minsk-2006 II's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international forward Aliaksei Lashkevich (204-78) stepped up and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and American guard Bobby Maze (191-86, college: Tennessee) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Minsk-2006 players scored in double figures. Forward Aliaksandr Semianiuk (210-93) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and guard Valentin Ignatchik (192) scored 8 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place in League with 28-1 record. Newly promoted Minsk-2006 II keeps the fourth position with 19 games lost. They will meet at home league's second-placed Grodno-93 in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Minsk-2006 II will play against Rubon in Vitebsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
