Regular Season Round 32: Chartres - Clermont 95-61

The game between fourteenth ranked Chartres (13-18) and 15th ranked Stade Clermont (8-24) in Chartres on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Chartres outscored guests from Clermont 95-61. The game without a history. Chartres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Chartres looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Stade Clermont's players. The winners were led by Bosnian guard Milan Vasic (195-77) who scored that evening 29 points and Serbian forward Zeljko Bojovic (200-81) supported him with 20 points. Four Chartres players scored in double figures. Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Marcus Jackson (202-82, college: Marquette) did not help to save the game for Stade Clermont. Guard Bianco Matanga (188-87) added 11 points for the guests. Newly promoted Chartres maintains fourteenth position with 13-18 record. Stade Clermont lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 24 games lost. Chartres will meet league's leader Saint-Quentin on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Stade Clermont will play against Etendard de Brest (#9) and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
