Very important is a home loss of third ranked Nea Kifisia (16-11) against fourteenth ranked Pagrati (11-16) on Saturday night. Host Nea Kifisia was edged by Pagrati in a tough game in Athens in overtime72-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Nea Kifisia. Nea Kifisia was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 13-12 charge of Pagrati, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 10-8. Nea Kifisia was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for guard Giannis Dimakos (194-94) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Pagrati moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Periko/Arhelaos and Perama Ermis. Newly promoted Nea Kifisia dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. Pagrati will play against higher ranked Arkadikos (#6) in Arkadia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nea Kifisia will play on the road against OFI in Heraklion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
