Regular Season Round 55: Shinshu BW - Fukuoka Rizing 68-90

Rather expected game in Nagano where 7th ranked Shinshu BW (18-31) was rolled over by fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (31-18) 90-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Shinshu BW was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was dominated by American players. Swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: VVG Sports) fired 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Swingman Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Top Notch Sports) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) produced 21 points and 6 rebounds and forward Tyler Hughes (213-84, college: Kansas St.) added 11 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Shinshu BW's coach Motofumi Aoki gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Fukuoka Rizing. They maintain fifth place with 31-18 record. Shinshu BW lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 31 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will have a break next round. Shinshu BW will play again at home against Fukuoka Rizing (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
