Regular Season Round 32: Sorgues - St Quentin 80-95

NM1 top team - Saint-Quentin (25-7) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Sorgues (18-14) 95-80. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-80. Saint-Quentin made 26-of-34 free shots (76.5 percent) during the game. 27 personal fouls committed by Sorgues helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Julien Lesieu (199-83) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized American guard Jimmal Ball (178-78, college: Akron, agency: ACMT) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Guard Samir Mekdad (188-86) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Serbian forward Slobodan Ocokoljic (204-80, college: Weber St.) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sorgues. Five Saint-Quentin and four Sorgues players scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-7 record.
