Porto Ferpinta handed the third straight loss for Vitoria SC and advanced into the semifinals. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 23-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. FC Porto Ferpinta outrebounded Vitoria SC 41-22 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for American forward Gregory Stempin (203-79, college: Toledo, agency: Duran International) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. The former international forward Carlos Andrade (197-78, college: Queens, NC) accounted for 10 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. FC Porto Ferpinta's coach Moncho Lopez used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. The former international swingman Paulo Cunha (199-80) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Julian Blanks (188-80, college: La Salle) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively for Vitoria SC in the defeat. Four Vitoria SC players scored in double figures.
