Regular Season Round 25: COB Calais - Le Havre 70-64

Very expected game when 13th ranked Le Havre (8-18) was defeated on the road by third ranked COB Calais (19-5) 70-64. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-9. But Le Havre won second period 21-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Le Havre 45-25 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Melanie Arnaud (184-88) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 22 rebounds for the winning side and guard Manon Sinico (180-85) accounted for 16 points and 4 assists. point guard Bintou Dieme (165-84) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) and forward Lalya Sidibe (178-91) added 16 points respectively for Le Havre in the defeat. COB Calais have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 19-5 record having just three points less than leader Perpignan. Le Havre at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 18 games lost. COB Calais' next round opponent will be Reims (#10) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Le Havre will play against the league's leader Perpignan (#1).
