Quarter-Finals Round 2: AD Vagos - Academico FC 65-59

AD Vagos sealed their next round appearance as they fired past AFC-Liberty at home court. AFC-Liberty S. trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 26-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 59-65 at the end of the game. AD Vagos dominated on the defensive end, holding AFC-Liberty S. to just 7 points in first quarter. They outrebounded AFC-Liberty S. 49-35 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. International Joana Lopes (185-86) had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Brazilian center Flavia Santos (187-82) chipped in 17 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. AD Vagos' coach Nuno Ferreira used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Donica Cosby (172-88, college: Oklahoma City, agency: Gamble Sports Management) responded with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Joana Ferreira scored 13 points and 6 rebounds.
