There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Ancona (12-14) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Napoli BK Women (12-14) 61-57 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 61-57. Napoli BK Women dominated on the defensive end, holding Ancona to just 7 points in second quarter. They also forced 19 Ancona turnovers. Bulgarian power forward Milena Tomova (189-82, college: FIU) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Sara Baggioli (180-89) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Guard Carola Sordi (179-82) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Camilla Servadio (162-89) scored 14 points. Napoli BK Women moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with Ancona and Napoli S.Dike.
