Rather expected game in Stadrbredimus where 3rd placed Musel Pikes (14-13) was defeated by first ranked T71 (23-4) 82-73 on Sunday. Musel Pikes trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 27-25 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-82 at the end of the game. International guard Tom Schumacher (190-87, college: Cal.Baptist) stepped up and scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and American swingman Denell Stephens (193-86, college: Slippery Rock, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) chipped in 14 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American power forward Brandon Gary (202-83, college: Hutchinson CC) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and American-British forward Philip Perre (198-79, college: N.Alabama) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five T71 and four Musel Pikes players scored in double figures. T71 have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-4 record. Musel Pikes at the other side keeps the third position with 13 games lost. T71 will face Residence (#4) in Bereldange in the next round. Musel Pikes will play on the road against Amicale in Steinsel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
