We should mention about the upset which took place in Montegranaro, where 12th ranked Fabi Shoes Montegranaro (11-17) lost at home to fifteenth ranked Vanoli-Braga (12-17) 66-73 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Vanoli-Braga dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Fabi Shoes Montegranaro's 34. The former international guard Daniele Cinciarini (194-83) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Jason Rich (191-86) chipped in 17 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian guard Ivan Zoroski (195-79) with 24 points and American guard Jerel McNeal (191-87, college: Marquette) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Vanoli-Braga moved-up to thirteenth place. Fabi Shoes Montegranaro lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Otto Caserta. Vanoli-Braga will meet at home higher ranked Air Avellino (#10) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fabi Shoes Montegranaro will play against Banca Tercas (#16) in Teramo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
