Very important is a road loss of third ranked Akita Happinets (28-24) against ninth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (17-33) on Sunday night. Visiting Akita Happinets were defeated by Iwate Big Bulls in Iwate 94-84. The game without a history. Iwate Big Bulls led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Iwate Big Bulls outrebounded Akita Happinets 43-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: SDJ Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and Guyanese-American forward Gordon Klaiber (206-83, college: Fair Dickinson) supported him with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 42 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 7 assists by American swingman Ricky Woods (194-84, college: SE Louisiana) did not help to save the game for Akita Happinets. His fellow American import Mychal Kearse (194-83, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: Gamble Sports Management) added 14 points for the guests. Akita Happinets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Iwate Big Bulls have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position with 17-33 record. Akita Happinets lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with 24 games lost.
