Everything went according to plan when second ranked Bennet Cantu (19-10) won against at home 8th ranked Cimberio Varese (14-14) 76-66 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 76-66. Bennet Cantu outrebounded Cimberio Varese 36-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. American-Swiss power forward Greg Brunner (201-83, college: Iowa) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Maarten Leunen (206-85, college: Oregon) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Diego Fajardo (208-76, agency: Players Group) with 14 points and 4 assists and Estonian forward Kristjan Kangur (201-82) scored 10 points. Bennet Cantu maintains second position with 19-10 record having just one points less than leader Montepaschi. Loser Cimberio Varese keeps the eighth place with 14 games lost.
