Regular Season Round 33: CFBB - Chartres 56-85

No shocking result in a game in Paris where thirteenth ranked Chartres (14-19) outleveled bottom-ranked CFBB (2-31) 85-56. The game was mostly controlled by Chartres. CFBB was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for forward Guillaume Merie (198-83) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. Serbian center Ljubomir Avramovic (201-79) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Chartres players scored in double figures. Guard Boris Dallo (193-94) answered with 13 points and center Alexandre Chassang (199-94) added 16 points in the effort for CFBB. CFBB's coach Jacques Commeres gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Chartres maintains thirteenth place with 14-19 record, which they share with Rueil. CFBB lost their third game in a row. They stay dead last with 31 lost games. Chartres' next round opponent will be higher ranked Blois (#5) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CFBB will play against Le Puy ASMB (#17) in Le Puy en Velay and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
