Nijmegen (#3) forced the game against Zwolle (#2) into an overtime, but lost by one point 94-95 on Thursday night. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime then Nijmegen managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Zwolle who were better in overtime eventually winning that period 16-15. They made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game. Nijmegen was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Gerald Robinson (204-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Power forward Kenrick Zondervan (206-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Markel Humphrey (198-87, college: Marshall) replied with 28 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Lucas Hargrove (198-88, college: Auburn) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Nijmegen. Five Zwolle and four Nijmegen players scored in double figures. Zwolle maintains second position in Group B with 2-1 record having just -1 point less than leader Groningen. Nijmegen at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Zwolle will have a break next round. Nijmegen will play at home against the league's leader Groningen in Groningen and hopes to get finally their first victory.
