Very important is a road loss of third ranked Menorca Basquet (21-13) against fifth ranked Grupo Iruna Navarra (21-13) on Friday night. Visiting Menorca Basquet was defeated by Grupo Iruna Navarra in Pamplona 89-79. Menorca Basquet was ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 26-10 charge of Grupo Iruna Navarra, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Menorca Basquet 36-23 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Grupo Iruna Navarra especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Czech center Ondrej Starosta (215-79) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. point guard Inaki Sanz (190-84) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. point guard Daniel Perez (188-90) replied with 18 points and 4 assists and center Oliver Arteaga (211-83) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Menorca Basquet. Five Grupo Iruna Navarra and four Menorca Basquet players scored in double figures. Menorca Basquet's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Grupo Iruna Navarra moved-up to third place, which they share with Menorca.
