An interesting game for Minsk-2006 (29-1) which hosted in Minsk second-best Grodno-93 (25-5). First ranked Minsk-2006 had an easy win 106-63. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 106-63. Minsk-2006 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Grodno-93's 34. Minsk-2006 forced 20 Grodno-93 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American guard Bobby Maze (191-86, college: Tennessee) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 8 assists. Russian forward Aleksandr Fomin (207-86, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Five Minsk-2006 players scored in double figures. Ukrainian guard Stanislav Ovdeenko (192-84) replied with 15 points and Ukrainian center Vadim Matyukevych (208-80) added 13 points in the effort for Grodno-93. Grodno-93's coach Andrei Vasileuka gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains first position in League with 29-1 record. Grodno-93 at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost.
