Finals Game 4: Neftochimic - Dunav 8806 52-67

Dunav is the new champion of Bulgaria. They cruised past Neftochimic on the road tonight 52-67 winning the Finals with almost perfect 3-1. Dunav failed in Game One at home, but managed to beat their rival three consecutive times after that. Dunav dominated on the defensive end, holding Neftochimic to just 6 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Adrienne Johnson (182-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws). Swingman Violina Kocheva (176-91) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Dunav 8806's coach Georgi Bojkov used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ukrainian-Russian guard Anna Sokolan (178-84) replied with 16 points and the former international guard Silvia Peeva (172-79) added 7 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Neftochimic. Dunav was the NBL regular season champion with 22-2 record. They eliminated Levski with 3-1 in the Semis. Last time Dunav was the Bulgarian champ in 2008. Neftochimic celebrated in 2009, 2010 and last season as well. It is important to mention that Dunav also won the Cup this year.
