Regular Season Round 32: Bordeaux - Quimper 74-60

Date: April 27, 2012
Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked Quimper UJAP (9-23) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Bordeaux (19-13) 74-60 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Bordeaux. Quimper UJAP was better in fourth quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Kurt Cunningham (204-87, college: Boise St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import power forward John Ford (207-78, college: Colorado St.) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Bordeaux players scored in double figures. Liberian-American Pele Paelay (193-84, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Two Points) responded with 16 points and 4 steals and American guard Adam McCoy (195-86, college: N.Texas) scored 16 points. Bordeaux have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Bordeaux maintains sixth position with 19-13 record. Loser Quimper UJAP keeps the seventeenth place with 23 games lost. Bordeaux will face Lille Metropole (#9) at home in the next round. Quimper UJAP will play against Nantes (#13).
