No shocking result in a game when second ranked Antwerp Giants (20-8) beat at home 8th ranked Belgacom Liege (9-19) 64-48. It looked good early as Belgacom Liege took an 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Antwerp Giants had a 22-13 second period charge getting the lead and Belgacom Liege was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 48-64. Antwerp Giants dominated on the defensive end, holding Belgacom Liege to just 7 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Belgacom Liege's 22. Antwerp Giants forced 23 Belgacom Liege turnovers and outrebounded them 31-20 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Bryan Hopkins (183-83, college: SMU) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Timothy Black (178-81, college: Barton, NC, agency: Limelight Hoops) who added 14 points, 5 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Antwerp Giants' coach Eddy Casteels allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and forward Terrence Jennings (205-88, college: Louisville) scored 12 points. Antwerp Giants have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-8 record behind leader Spirou. Belgacom Liege at the other side keeps the eighth place with 19 games lost.
