Alges booked the next round appearance with a road win over Sangalhos. The hosts were trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 19-17 charge of Alges, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Sangalhos' 24. The best player for the winners was American forward DeSean White (203-86, college: Northwood, FL) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds. Angolan forward Sergio Correia (197-85) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Emanuel Silva (188-79) who recorded 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Jorge Seabra (174-81) added 10 points and 8 assists respectively. Five Sangalhos players scored in double figures.
