The game in Fukuoka was also quite interesting. Third ranked Kyoto Hannar. (34-17) played at the court of 5th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (32-19). Kyoto Hannar. defeated Fukuoka Rizing 82-67 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Fukuoka Rizing. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannar.. Fukuoka Rizing was better in second period 18-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Jermaine Boyette (188-78, college: Weber St., agency: SportsTalent) stepped up and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and swingman Taizon Kawabe (190-82) chipped in 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC, agency: VVG Sports) with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the other American import swingman Carlos Dixon (201-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Top Notch Sports) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The victory was the third consecutive win for Kyoto Hannar.. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Osaka Evessa. Loser Fukuoka Rizing keeps the fifth position with 19 games lost. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next round. Fukuoka Rizing will play again at home against Kyoto Hannar. (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
