Regular Season Round 26: SIG - Dunkerque 61-69

Rather expected game when 11th ranked SIG (9-17) lost to ninth ranked Dunkerque (11-15) in llkirch-Graff. 61-69 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But SIG won third quarter 27-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Latvian power forward Dace Brumermane (187-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. American center Sabrina Scott (190-81, college: Colorado) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Cameroonian forward Amina Njonkou (185-88, college: Arizona) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) added 8 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for SIG. SIG's coach Philippe Breitenbucher tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Dunkerque maintains ninth position with 11-15 record. SIG lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 17 games lost.
