Galitos-Tley held off Illibaum in overtime to win the series. The hosts were tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They eventually won an overtime period 14-10. Galitos-Tley forced 20 Illiabum turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 18 on the offensive glass. The winners were led by forward Rui Quintino (196-83) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and guard Alexandre Coelho (178-90) supported him with 13 points and 11 assists. Even 25 points and 7 rebounds by naturalized American power forward Calvin Clemmons (203-81, college: Charlotte) did not help to save the game for Illiabum. American-Liberian forward Kadiri Richard (203-80, college: Virginia Union) added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
