Fisica cruised past Angra to advance into semifinals. The game without a history. Fisica led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 23 Angrabasket turnovers. Fisica shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Angrabasket's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Fisica made 8 blocks. Cape Verdean guard Braima Freire (188-82) fired 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Naturalized Guinea-Bissau forward Josimar Cardoso (201-87) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Fisica's coach Ivan Kostourkov felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Terrence Mack (198-84, college: Rhode Island) produced 21 points and forward Joao Paulo Avila (190-76) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
