Leader Hamamatsu Phoenix recorded the 37th victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Shinshu BW (18-34) 90-72 in Nagano. The game was mostly controlled by Hamamatsu Phoenix. Shinshu BW was better in third quarter 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hamamatsu Phoenix made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Guard Jermaine Dixon (191-87, college: Pittsburgh, agency: VVG Sports) notched 29 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and guard Wayne Arnold (193-84, college: Tennessee St., agency: ACMT) supported him with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Hamamatsu Phoenix's coach Ryuji Kawai allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds by power forward Lee Roberts (201-87, college: Findlay, OH) did not help to save the game for Shinshu BW. Guard Derek Raivio (190-84, college: Gonzaga) added 14 points and 5 assists for lost side. Hamamatsu Phoenix (37-15) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Shinshu BW lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with 34 games lost.
