Regular Season Round 29: Enel Brindisi - Biancoblu BO 92-95

The most exciting game of round 29 in the Lega2 took place in Brindisi. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-ranked Enel Brindisi (17-10) to fourteenth ranked Biancoblu BO (10-17) 95-92 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Enel Brindisi. The guests trailed by 10 points at the halftime before their 52-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Enel Brindisi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was French power forward Guillame Yango (205-82, college: Pacific) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Power forward Patrick Baldassarre (200-86, agency: Players Group) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Alex Renfroe (191-86, college: Belmont) produced 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian power forward Dejan Borovnjak (207-86, agency: Beo Basket) added 18 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively for the hosts. Five Biancoblu BO and four Enel Brindisi players scored in double figures. Enel Brindisi's coach Pier Luigi Bucchi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Biancoblu BO moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Aget Imola and S.Antimo. Enel Brindisi at the other side dropped to the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Givova Scafati. Biancoblu BO is looking forward to face higher ranked Sigma Barcellona (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Enel Brindisi will play against Givova Scafati and will have a slim chance for a victory.
