There was no surprise when 15th ranked MarcoPoloShop.it (8-19) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Tuscany Pistoia (18-10) 94-73 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Tuscany Pistoia. MarcoPoloShop.it was better in fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tuscany Pistoia forced 19 MarcoPoloShop.it turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was American forward Bobby Jones (201-84, college: Washington) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Four Tuscany Pistoia players scored in double figures. Tuscany Pistoia's coach Paolo Moretti felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Terrence Roderick (196-88, college: UAB, agency: Interperformances) produced 26 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the guests. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to second place. Loser MarcoPoloShop.it stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. Tuscany Pistoia will have a break next round.
