Bottom-ranked Novipiu CM managed to get a seventh victory, breaking the six-game losing streak. This time newly promoted Novipiu CM won against tenth-ranked Lottomatica Roma 76-70. The guests were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 2-point deficit before their 21-13 run, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by American guard Garrett Temple (198-86, college: LSU) who scored that evening 15 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Matteo Malaventura (197-78) supported him with 14 points. Novipiu CM's coach Andrea Valentini allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by international swingman Luigi Datome (202-87) did not help to save the game for Lottomatica Roma. Bosnian guard Nemanja Gordic (193-88) added 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the hosts. Five Lottomatica Roma players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Novipiu CM maintains seventeenth position with 7-23 record. Lottomatica Roma lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Vanoli CR. Novipiu CM will play against higher ranked Banca Tercas (#16) in Teramo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lottomatica Roma will play on the road against Scavolini Pesaro (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
