Semi-Finals Game 2: Benfica - Lusitania 98-70

Benfica pulled together to bounce back from the starting loss and thrashed Lusitania for the opening win in the series. The game without a history. Benfica led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Benfica outrebounded Lusitania 43-22 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward Seth Doliboa (203-80, college: Wright St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import guard Ted Scott (188-85, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Hart Sports Mngm) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Benfica's coach Carlos Lisboa felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Ricky Franklin (185-87, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) replied with 13 points and 7 assists and forward Mohamed Camara (196-83) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lusitania. Four Benfica and five Lusitania players scored in double figures.
