There was no surprise when 9th ranked Garra Canera de Navolato (9-18) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (12-15) 84-74 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Pioneros Los Mochis. Garra Canera de Navolato managed to win second period 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Garra Canera de Navolato 47-36 including 32 on the defensive glass. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Devon Pearson (198-84, college: SMU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 17 rebounds.
