No shocking result in a game in Sassari where fourth ranked Banco di Sard. (19-12) defeated 7th ranked Umana Venezia (17-14) 81-74 on Wednesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Umana Venezia won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) stepped up and scored 16 points and 8 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St., agency: Pro One Sports) chipped in 14 points and 12 rebounds.
