Top ranked Montepaschi Siena (23-8) recorded its eighth loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked CS Bologna (19-12) 78-69. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Montepaschi Siena. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 26-10 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Montepaschi Siena 45-25 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. CS Bologna is looking forward to face league's second-placed Bennet Cantu at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Montepaschi Siena will play against Fabi Shoes Montegranaro and is hoping to win this game.
