Semi-Finals Game 2: Budivelnyk - Azovmash 82-97

Azovmash shot down Budivelnyk in Kyiv once again to take 2-0 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Azovmash. Budivelnyk was better in third quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 30-of-35 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Azovmash outrebounded Budivelnyk 42-31 including 27 on the defensive glass. Budivelnyk was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American swingman Matt Walsh (197-82, college: Florida) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The former international center Oleksiy Pecherov (213-85) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Five Azovmash players scored in double figures. American forward Zach Morley (203-83, college: Wisconsin) produced 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks and Montenegrin-Bosnian swingman Suad Sehovic (197-87) added 21 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
