A very interesting game took place in Ostuni. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Centrale Latte (15-13) to eleventh ranked Assi Ostuni (13-15) 75-72 on Saturday evening. The hosts were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 24-18 run, which allowed them to win the game. Assi Ostuni dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Centrale Latte's 30. They outrebounded Centrale Latte 39-24 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. 25 personal fouls committed by Centrale Latte helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Latvian swingman Mareks Jurevicus (197-85) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Tommaso Rinaldi (206-85) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Ryan Thompson (198-89, college: Rider) who recorded 18 points and guard Lorenzo Gergati (188-84) added 12 points respectively. Four Centrale Latte players scored in double figures. Centrale Latte's coach Sandro Dell Agnello tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Assi Ostuni have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Fileni BPA and Prima Veroli. Centrale Latte at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost.
