Fuerza Guinda Nogales managed to secure a 6-point victory 98-92. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pioneros Los Mochis. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for swingman O'Louis McCullough (198-82, college: Francis Marion) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds. Guard Michael Gale (193-82, college: Centenary) contributed with 27 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Seth Scott (208-81, college: Portland St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and forward Devon Pearson (198-84, college: SMU) added 23 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Pioneros Los Mochis. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Fuerza Guinda Nogales moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Los Mochis. Fuerza Guinda Nogales will play against bottom-ranked Coras de Tepic (#10) on the road in the next round. Pioneros Los Mochis will play against Tijuana Zonkeys (#3) and hope to get back on the winning track.
