The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Guangzhou L. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Guangzhou L. smashed 5th ranked Sichuan at home 105-76. The game without a history. Guangzhou L. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Sichuan's 48. Guangzhou L. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Guangzhou L. made 10 blocks. The best player for the winners was forward Jing Wang (197-78) who scored 18 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field).
