Second Stage Round 6: Marinos - Trotamundos 103-86

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second-best Trotamundos' (4-4) road loss to first ranked Marinos (6-2) in Puerto La Cruz 86-103 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Marinos. Trotamundos was better in fourth quarter 34-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Marinos held Trotamundos to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. It was a good game for American guard Curtis Stinson (191-83, college: Iowa St.) who led his team to a victory with 9 points and 8 assists. The former international swingman Jose Vargas (196-82) contributed with 15 points and 4 steals for the winners. Marinos' coach Jorge Arrieta used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Shaun Pruitt (208-85, college: Illinois, agency: Edge Sports) replied with 16 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Robert Glenn (201-89, college: IUPUI) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Trotamundos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Marinos maintains first position with 6-2 record. Trotamundos at the other side keep the second place with four games lost.
