The game in was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Sichuan (1-3) played at the court of seventh ranked Guangzhou FM (2-2). Guangzhou FM did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 92-74 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Guangzhou FM. Sichuan was better in third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Walter Sharpe (206-86, college: UAB, agency: Two Points) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points, 21 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. Guard KaiFu Yao (196-83) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. Guangzhou FM's coach Dragan Raca let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Jarrid Famous (210-88, college: S.Florida) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and forward Ma Chao (196-86) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Guangzhou FM moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Changan Group and Hong Kong. Sichuan lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Guangzhou FM will face bottom-ranked Nanjin Army (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Sichuan will play against Changan Group.
