The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Hebei as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Hebei defeated 9th ranked Heilongjiang at home 117-107. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 117-107. 30 personal fouls committed by Heilongjiang helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M, agency: N.E.T.) fired a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!), 17 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the winners.
