There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Ermis Lagkada (14-15) edged 8th ranked Lavrio (15-14) in Lagadas 84-81 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 84-81. Lavrio was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Nikos Gamouras (202-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Giorgos Anagnostopoulos (207-80) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Giannis Kakiouzis (205-78) answered with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Nikos Psileas (200-80) added 16 points in the effort for Lavrio. Five Ermis Lagkada and four Lavrio players scored in double figures. Ermis Lagkada maintains tenth place with 14-15 record. Loser Lavrio dropped to the seventh position with 14 games lost. Ermis Lagkada will face Perama Ermis (#14) on the road in the next round.
