Regular Season Round 5: Heilongjiang - Henan Jiyuan 95-72

The game between eighth ranked Heilongjiang (2-3) and 9th ranked Henan Jiyuan (1-4) in ended with biggest points difference. Heilongjiang outscored guests from 95-72. The game was mostly controlled by Heilongjiang. Henan Jiyuan was better in third quarter 28-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Henan Jiyuan to just 7 points in second quarter. Heilongjiang forced 19 Henan Jiyuan turnovers. The best player for the winners was American power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) who had a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds. Forward Xu Liu (201-85) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Nigerian center Kenny Adeleke (205-83, college: Hartford) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 29 rebounds and ZhanYu Wang (196-86) added 10 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Heilongjiang moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Hong Kong. Henan Jiyuan lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Heilongjiang's next round opponent will be Hong Kong (#7). Henan Jiyuan will play against Sichuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
