The game in was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Heilongjiang (2-4) played at the court of seventh ranked Hong Kong (3-3). Hong Kong managed to secure a 8-point victory 101-93. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Heilongjiang won third quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Hong Kong won last quarter 33-27. They also forced 22 Heilongjiang turnovers. Forward MingHao Li (200-92) notched 31 points and 8 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and American center DeVon Hardin (211-86) supported him with 18 points, 19 rebounds and 5 blocks. Hong Kong's coach DeGui Zhang allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 32 points and 25 rebounds by American power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-84, college: Massachusetts) did not help to save the game for Heilongjiang. point guard Ming Jin (185-90) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Heilongjiang players scored in double figures. Hong Kong moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Guangzhou FM. Heilongjiang at the other side dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. They share it with Sichuan. Hong Kong will play against Henan Jiyuan (#9) in the next round. Heilongjiang will play against Guangzhou L. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
