CIBACOPA top team - Rayos de Hermosillo (34-4) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Fuerza Guinda Nogales (17-21) 91-77. The game was mostly controlled by Rayos de Hermosillo. Fuerza Guinda Nogales was better in second period 27-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rayos de Hermosillo forced 21 Fuerza Guinda Nogales turnovers. Strangely Fuerza Guinda Nogales outrebounded Rayos de Hermosillo 34-20 including 21 on the defensive glass. American forward Brian Hamilton (198-82, college: La-Lafayette) notched 25 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and the other American import forward Emmanuel Little (196-85, college: N.Dakota) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line).
