Finals Game 3: Ferro-ZNTU - Budivelnyk 99-85

Ferro-ZNTU stepped closer to the pedestal after beating Budivelnyk in the third game of the consolation final series. It looked good early as Budivelnyk took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ferro-ZNTU had a 29-12 second period charge getting the lead and Budivelnyk was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 85-99. It was a great shooting night for Ferro-ZNTU especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Budivelnyk was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American R.T. Guinn (208-81, college: Baylor) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Randy Culpepper (182-89, college: UTEP) contributed with 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Montenegrin-Bosnian swingman Suad Sehovic (197-87) answered with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Belarusian center Artsiom Parakhouski (211-87, college: Radford) added 18 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) in the effort for Budivelnyk. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Budivelnyk's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
