Regular Season Round 9: Sichuan - Hebei 82-90

Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Hebei (6-3) defeated on the road 7th ranked Sichuan (3-6) 90-82 on Tuesday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Hebei forced 24 Sichuan turnovers and outrebounded them 51-34 including a 29-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sichuan was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M, agency: N.E.T.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 27 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners and guard ZhiTong Yin (195-86) chipped in 15 points and 5 steals. The best for the losing side was American power forward Jarrid Famous (210-88, college: S.Florida) with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and center XiaoDong Chen (207-86) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Sichuan's coach Li Guangqi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hebei moved-up to third place, which they share with Changan Group and Guangzhou FM. Sichuan at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Hebei will face league's leader Jiangsu in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sichuan will play against Heilongjiang (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
